About Doughty Street Chambers
Rights: Up our Street – Celebrating 25 Years of Human Rights
Since our foundation in 1990, our aim has been and will always be to improve access to justice and to promote human rights and civil liberties through the law. We have taken the opportunity provided by our 25th anniversary to reflect upon the work undertaken by members of Chambers working alongside our friends and colleagues in solicitor firms, NGOs and other chambers. The “Rights: Up our street” project is our celebration of how Human Rights law has developed and an acknowledgement of our small part in that process.
Doughty Street Chambers remains a buoyant and cutting-edge set, renowned for and committed to defending freedom and civil liberties, with a truly national and international profile across its wide range of practice in criminal law, civil law, administrative and public law, international law and human rights.
